Hair Care Tips

  • Measurements

When measuring your head for your custom wig, follow the guide in the image shown above. Making sure that all measurements are done correctly will ensure that your wig fits you perfectly.

  • Choosing the Right Lace For You

When finding a lace that matches your skin tone it can be quite tricky. Transparent lace works well for those who are light skin/fair. Whereas brown lace is for those who are brown/dark skin. For best results a HD lace is recommended as it can be used for all skin tones. Do not use frontals with huge knots and avoid thick and grey/khaki laces.

  • Wig Care

    • Be gentle with lace.

    • Tie lace down at night with a melt band and wrap hair in satin based head wrap/bonnet.

    • Always store your wigs properly to avoid unnecessary damage or tangling. I.e a wig stand/ mannequin head.

  • Wig removal

It is vital to be extremely careful when removing your wig from your head as you still want to keep your edges. I recommend using an adhesive remover. If you don’t have any available an oil based liquid rubbed onto your hairline will also get the job done.

  • Maintenance

    • When using hair serums and oils try to limit the amount you use on your hair as this will make your hair quite greasy and oily.

    • To minimise hair shedding, comb hair starting from the ends of your hair up using preferably a wide tooth comb.

    • When washing your hair i recommend using sulphate free shampoo and a deep conditioner. Allow hair to air dry when possible. This applies to both your natural hair and weave.

    • Limit the amount of heat applied to your hair and when doing so ALWAYS use a heat protector. This applies to both your natural hair and weave.
